lot's of mathematical learners

isn't that supposed to be rare? lol. at any rate, you did a good job. I really underestimated this test and thought it would be a little less serious than it really was. Little question though, does time in any way affect how you do on the test?

DemiseAnimation responds:

Maybe.

very original

quite a nice game, great graphics, smooth gameplay, overall fun to play. My only complaint is the auto-pause system, I have nothing wrong with pausing if the mouse leaves the screen, but it would be nice if the game would auto-unpause when the mouse returns onto screen. Because the dog is mouse controlled, i found myself jerking the mouse offscreen quite often, which made it a bit tedious to constantly click the unpause button.

I-smel responds:

You can unpause by pressing P, Enter or Escape

disagree with ff23

He says you stole the idea from depict1, but the concept of "don't trust the game" titles have been around for a while, just look at portal. Beyond that, the game seemed a bit ... unforgiving. Firstly, the controls were a bit finicky, mostly with quantum jumping, and the whole "f to QJ" should've been revealed waaaay earlier. Overall though, I like that you gave the player an option to skip levels so long as they stick with it. It's a nice touch for casual gamers who understand the point of the puzzle, but can't quite summon up the skill. Overall, you did a nice job here, if not a bit too difficult.

fantastic!

This game has a marvelous atmosphere to it and everything about it is just plain marvelous. It really feels like I'm playing a game inside of Tim Burton's sketchbook - it has that kind of odd, macabre feel to it. And btw, don't put yourself down about the music. I liked the main track quite a bit.

Merol responds:

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
I also added some references to a Tim Burton movie.
And, I didn't made the main track man, that song is from The Dears. My songs are played with guitar only.

long review ahead

This game has some potential, but it's chock full of issues and flaws. Firstly, the music is hardly fitting to the game. Try going with a bit more of an international tune, something more foreign than classical.
Nextly, there's no penalty for random clicking. The player should lose 10 points or something like that if they click on a non - angry player. Otherwise, I could just spam mouseclicking all over the place and still get a high score.
It didn't really seem like they were playing an actual game of soccer - it was just a bunch of guys sporadically darting around a field and randomly getting mad.
Finally, the game itsself just feels a bit rough and unpolished - better graphics and some flashy effects would be a welcome addition.
I'd also like to say that the player should have to settle a wider variety of issues, such as fan interference, unsportsmanlike conduct, etc.
Beyond that, this game has a lot of potential and I'd love to see it go somewhere.

excellent job for a first.

I agree with the guy below me in the sense that a little more interaction would be possible. I also find that in games like this, a bit of text in each panel describing a vague and mysterious story helps quite a bit. It allows the player to explore things a little and interpret the game in different ways. Perhaps you could write something about how the cat feels in each new situation. Besides that, graphics were nice and music was beautiful, making a fantastic mood for the game.

I broke the game

I pressed one button and immediately found myself bouncing left and right between a seriously seizure inducing border. After about 10 bounces, I flew right off the screen. Work on that, and then I might give you a four. After that, your flaw lies primarily in a crummy control scheme and also in VERY bad graphics.

not even a f*cking game

So here's the deal. What you're uploading is NOT a game, but is instead an animation. Had it been uploaded as an animation, I would give it two stars, making it suffer badly for overall crummy animation quality and no relation to Katamari. If this really is a game and there's just something I'm not getting, please clue me in.

jbaggel responds:

You have to press the play button, that is interactivity, therefore it is a game.

fantastic!

the game is original, clever, and fun. I do, however see two flaws:
1)the clouds move a bit slow. I'm guessing you made it like this to allow the player to have a bit more precision, but i found it to be far too sluggish.
2)touching walls instantly kills you. I think that is a bit harsh, considering that you'll need to hug the walls quite often in order to squeeze through the tight gaps.
Beyond that, you have a very nice game here!

sub - par

Advergames are rarely ever anything to write home about, considering that they're often rushed together in order to meet a deadline. They're often made even worse by the use of stupid mascots and cheesy product placements. Although the second of these issues is not present in rooftop raiser, the first on holds true. The gameplay was FAAAAAR too simple to entertain me, and the graphics needed some work. All in all, I just want to say I have nothing against you guys advertising things in a flash game format, especially one as serious as cancer, but you could at least do it in a decent game, as opposed to this painfully watered down platformer.
